Draftd for consultants
Your proposal, out the same day as the call
Draftd writes consulting proposals from your call notes or transcript, in your voice and at the prices you charge. The client reads it on a page in your branding, signs it there and pays the deposit before they close the tab.
- Argues from what the client said on the call
- Quotes your day rates and packages exactly
- Signed and the deposit paid in one link
The problem
The call went well. The proposal is where it stalls
It eats the evening
You won the room at three o’clock and spent the night rebuilding last quarter’s proposal around a new client.
The momentum leaks away
Every day between the call and the proposal is a day the client cools, or talks to somebody else.
Signed is not paid
A yes by email still needs a contract, an invoice and a chase before the work can start.
What it does
What Draftd does for a consulting practice
Straight from the call
Paste the transcript of the discovery call and the proposal is built from the client’s own words: their problem, their numbers and what they said success looks like.
Your prices, as written
Your day rate, your fixed-fee packages and your payment terms, quoted exactly as you set them. It does not invent a figure to fill a gap.
Let them choose a package
Offer a diagnostic, a full engagement and an engagement with support. The client chooses as they sign, and the fee and payments follow.
The deposit, on the spot
Take the first payment on the page they signed, by card into your own Stripe account, or by bank transfer if your clients prefer it.
Know when it is read
See when the proposal is opened and how often, so the follow-up call lands while it is still on their desk.
Structures you can keep
Save the shape of the proposal that wins, with your method and terms already written, and start every one after it from there.
What you would send
The documents a consultant sends
One account for the whole engagement, from the first proposal to the report that sells the next one.
- Operations review proposal
- Strategy engagement, three options
- Statement of work for phase two
- Diagnostic audit with ranked findings
- Monthly advisory retainer
- Quarterly progress report
How it works
From the call to the deposit, in one link
What actually happens, in order, from the first brief to the money arriving.
Tell it about your business
Your services and prices, your tone and the words you never use. Ten minutes, once, and it is the difference between a document that sounds like you and one that sounds like everybody.
Write the document
Paste a call transcript or answer a short brief, pick a structure, and a full draft comes back in about a minute. Edit anything. Nothing is locked.
Send it from you
The client gets a link to a page in your branding. Replies come to you, and you see when it is opened and how often.
They sign in the browser
No account and no printer. They choose a package if you offered more than one, type their name and sign, and you get an email the moment they do.
The deposit is paid on the same page
By card straight into your Stripe account, or by bank transfer. The rest of the payments, and any retainer, are tracked in Cashflow until they arrive.
Which plan
From £19 a month, free for 14 days
Most independent consultants start on Starter: 10 documents sent a month is more proposals than most practices write. Move to Growth (£39 a month) when associates need their own logins.
Questions
Questions from consultants
Will it write a proposal I would actually send?
It writes from what you give it: your services and prices, your tone, the words you never use and the transcript or brief for this client. Every section is yours to edit before anything is sent, and nothing reaches a client until you press send.
Can I use my own proposal structure?
Yes. Arrange any document the way you want it and save it as a structure. You can keep the writing in sections that never change, such as your method and terms, and the next proposal starts from there.
Is the e-signature binding?
The client types their name and confirms they have authority to agree. Draftd records the name, email, time, browser and IP address, and you can countersign. A signed document cannot be edited or deleted.
Do client payments go through Draftd?
No. You connect your own Stripe account and the client pays you directly. Draftd takes nothing from client payments. You can also offer bank transfer with your own details.
What does it cost?
Plans start at £19 a month, with 14 days free and AI credit to start. Writing a document costs a few pence of AI time from that credit, or you can use your own API key.
