Draftd product
What you are owed, without a spreadsheet
Draftd lists every instalment from every document under Received, Due now and Still to come. Press Ask for it and the client is emailed a link straight to the card form. Contacts keep their own status from what they signed and paid, and both export to CSV.
- Every instalment across every document
- Ask for a payment in one click
- Contacts that keep their own status
The problem
The money is spread across a dozen documents
A spreadsheet that drifts
You keep a list of who owes what, and it is right until the week you forget to update it.
Awkward chasing
Asking for a payment means finding the invoice, writing the email and hoping they can pay from it.
A contact list out of date
Who is a client, who is still deciding and who said no lives in your head rather than anywhere you can look it up.
What it does
What Cashflow and Contacts keep track of
Cashflow in one place
Every instalment across every document, sorted under Received, Due now and Still to come. Bank transfers are marked paid here when they land.
The deposit, on the spot
Payment schedules come from the documents themselves, so a 50/30/20 split agreed on signing appears in Cashflow without any typing.
Retainers that bill themselves
Monthly retainers set up on signing are charged by Stripe each month and show alongside the one-off payments.
Contacts that keep themselves
Active if they signed or paid, Lead if they were sent something and agreed nothing, Closed if they only declined. Their full history survives archiving.
Know when it is read
Each contact shows what was sent, opened, signed and declined, with the record of every signature kept on the contact as well.
In the app
Where the money is, at a glance
Received, due now and still to come, across every document. Below the totals, each payment has its own line and a button to ask for it.
What you would send
Questions Cashflow answers
The things you would otherwise work out from your inbox and your bank statement.
- Which deposits are still unpaid
- What lands next month from signed work
- Who to ask for the second instalment
- Which leads have gone quiet
- A CSV of the quarter for your accountant
How it works
From the call to the deposit, in one link
What actually happens, in order, from the first brief to the money arriving.
Tell it about your business
Your services and prices, your tone and the words you never use. Ten minutes, once, and it is the difference between a document that sounds like you and one that sounds like everybody.
Write the document
Paste a call transcript or answer a short brief, pick a structure, and a full draft comes back in about a minute. Edit anything. Nothing is locked.
Send it from you
The client gets a link to a page in your branding. Replies come to you, and you see when it is opened and how often.
They sign in the browser
No account and no printer. They choose a package if you offered more than one, type their name and sign, and you get an email the moment they do.
The deposit is paid on the same page
By card straight into your Stripe account, or by bank transfer. The rest of the payments, and any retainer, are tracked in Cashflow until they arrive.
Which plan
From £19 a month, free for 14 days
Cashflow and Contacts are on every plan. Starter at £19 a month covers a one-person business taking payments through Draftd.
Questions
Questions about cashflow and contacts
Does Draftd chase payments automatically?
No. Draftd sends nothing on its own. When an instalment is due you press Ask for it, and the client is emailed a link straight to the card form.
Does bank transfer show in Cashflow?
Yes. Bank transfer instalments sit under Due now or Still to come until you mark them paid, when they move to Received.
How is a contact’s status worked out?
From what they did. Active means they signed or paid, Lead means they were sent something but agreed nothing and Closed means they only declined.
Can I export the data?
Yes. Cashflow and Contacts both export to CSV, for your accountant or your own records.
What does it cost?
Cashflow and Contacts are included on every plan. Plans start at £19 a month with 14 days free, and Draftd takes nothing from client payments.
